Bengals vs. Seahawks Preview and Free Pick

Last Updated on October 10, 2023 10:19 pm by Erwin Noguera

We are going into week 6 of the NFL Regular Season, and our focus is right on one of the early matches for this Sunday. As such, we look into Paul Brown Stadium, where the Cincinnati Bengals will be hosting the Seattle Seahawks for an interesting clash.

The Bengals come into this match as the AFC West bottom-placed team, with 3 losses so far and a couple of wins. They are looking into a possibly tough match on Thursday, especially by who they are going to play against.

The Seattle Seahawks are currently the top-placed AFC West team, and they come in on a three-match win streak after their first clash being a loss to start their season. They are strong and playing against a desesperate team is a plus.

We are now going to break down what should take place once both teams hit the field this Sunday morning clash.

When:

Sunday, October 15th at 11:00 AM ET at Paul Brown Stadium

Why Bet on the Bengals?

The Bengals went just 1-3 in their first four games. The opener was a 24-3 blowout loss to the Browns, then came a 27-24 loss to the Ravens. In Week 3 Cincinnati got their first win of the tournament 19-16 over the Rams, but then fell again 27-3 versus the Titans to kick off October. Bengals QB Joe Burrow went 20-of-30 for 165 yards in the defeat.

In last weekend’s matchup versus the Cardinals, the Bengals put up points in each quarter (including 10 in the first and fourth) on the way to a 34-20 win. Burrow bagged 317 yards with three touchdowns and an interception this time. Joe Mixon added 81 rushing yards off 25 carries, and Ja’Marr Chase dazzled on 192 yards, three touchdowns, and 15 receptions.

Why Bet on the Seahawks?

The last time we saw the Seattle Seahawks play a game, they manhandled the New York Giants in front of the entire NFL audience on Monday Night Football.

They were able to savor that win for an extra week with the early-season bye and should welcome back a whole host of injured players as they head on the road.

Seattle is probably right where many people expected them to be at 3-1 but got there in a slightly surprising way by losing the season opener to the Los Angeles Rams before ripping off three straight wins.

They still have plenty of room for improvement on both sides of the ball and will be tested by a slightly desperate Bengals team.

Bengals vs. Seahawks Final Betting Analysis:

We’ll stay with the Seahawks in this one. Seattle should be looking pretty good here, especially with the extra week of rest and preparation. In their last on-field action the Seahawks kept the Giants in check, allowing just 248 yards (136 passing) and collecting three takeaways. Offensively the team wasn’t great overall though, posting just 13 first downs and a rough 3-of-12 rate on third-down tries. There’s plenty to improve upon here.

As for the Bengals, they had a pretty good overall effort against a pretty bad Arizona team in their last outing. Cincinnati went just 5-of-17 on third- and fourth-down tries though, and gained a tepid 4.8 yards per play.

If Seattle is indeed ready for this one we don’t think the Bengals will keep the cover pace on the scoreboard.

Go for a win for the Seahawks’ Moneyline. If you bet $100 at +133, you will gain $133 for a total payout of $233.
