Chiefs vs. Bears Betting Odds and Preview

Last Updated on September 22, 2023 8:02 pm by Erwin Noguera

We are taking a trip to Kansas City as we continue to watch the NFL regular season unfold, and now, we get an interesting clash as we walk into the 3rd matchday of our current season.

As we are going towards The Sunflower State, the Kansas City Chiefs will be the ones hosting the clash, but their guests, the Chicago Bears, are looking towards fixing a bad start to their season.

The Chiefs come into this match after a victory and a loss so far, so they are trying to pick up the pace and work their way to lead the AFC West.

The Bears are currently at the bottom of the NFC North, as they have been beaten twice so far. Now they’ll come to visit one of the strongest franchises in the league having to straighten their path.

We are now going to break down what we expect to unfold in this match.

When:

Sunday, September 24th at 2:25 pm ET at the Arrowhead Stadium

Moneyline odds:

Chiefs -800

Bears +520

Where Can I Watch it?

CBS SportsFox SportsfuBO TV, and NFL Network

Why Bet on the Chiefs?

The reigning NFL MVP had his numbers suppressed in Week 1 when his receivers dropped eight passes but they got their act together last Sunday, as he completed 70.7% of his passes for 305 yards vs. the Jaguars. Despite rolling up almost 400 yards of offense in that contest, the Chiefs mustered just 17 points, which was due to poor efficiency at the goal line and penalties that stalled drives.

This is a get-right spot for Mahomes and the team’s offense against a woeful Bears defense that has a league-worst opponent pass efficiency rating of 118.3. That said, it’s tough to lay this many points on a Chiefs team that has often disappointed as a big fave.

Why Bet on the Bears?

The Chicago Bears were the worst team in the NFL last year and those who were expecting a big turnaround this season have to be extremely disappointed. They’ve lost their first two games by double digits despite facing underwhelming Packers and Buccanneers squads.

Their offense ranks just 27th in the league in EPA/play and quarterback Justin Fields hasn’t taken the next step as a passer that many thought he would.

The play of their defense might be even more concerning since they rank 29th in defensive EPA, and have made Baker Mayfield and Jordan Love look like Patrick Mahomes. There’s no doubt that, if they face the real deal at that level, they’ll have a long afternoon.

Chiefs vs. Bears Final Betting Analysis:

The defending champions lost on opening night the last time they played at home, but they’ll be out for revenge this weekend when they host the worst team in the NFL.

We are expecting the Chiefs to come fired up at home against a team that looks to be in shambles. It isn’t due to them being able to display power, but the fact that their opponent is coming on such bad form this time.

We’ll place our betting token on the reigning champs for this clash and hope they start fixing the little details as they go forth in their season. However, the odds are very low, so you can complement your bet by going for the U 48 at -110, as we expect a good beating, but without the Bears scoring much and with the locals dilapidating some chances as they are still adapting to the new season.

Go for a straight win in the Kansas City Chiefs Moneyline. If you bet $100 at -800, you will gain $12.5 for a total payout of $112.5
