We are heading into the 12th week for our dose of Thursday “Noon” Football as the NFL Regular season continues. We’ll go to the Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, where the Detroit Lions will host the Green Bay Packers.

The Lions are the current kings in the NFC North, and their 8 wins and only 2 losses have them as the closest team to the Eagles in their successful campaign.

The Packers have to fix their approach, as they have only 4 wins and 6 losses in their run, currently placed 3rd in the NFC North.

This NFC North clash will be interesting, as both teams are coming from victories, but things are pointing strongly towards one of the sides. It should still be a treat to all NFL fans, so let’s get to it.

Why Bet on the Lions?

The Detroit Lions have finally turned things around this season, and Dan Campbell is a potential candidate for Coach of the Year. The team has won seven of their last eight games, including their three previous games.

Last week, the Lions outlasted the Bears and rallied back from a 12-point deficit to win. They scored 17 points in a row to complete their comeback.

Jared Goff is having a strong season, averaging 274.3 yards per game, with a 16-8 TD-INT ratio. He will look to bounce back, as the Chicago game was one of his worst on the season. He threw three interceptions, but the team still pulled out the win.

Why Bet on the Packers?

The Packers are coming off a good home win over the Chargers, winning 23-20 as 2.5-point underdogs. The road has not been welcoming to the Packers this season.

Green Bay is only 1-4 in games outside of Lambeau Field, with their lone win coming in Week 1 over the Bears. The Packers have won two of their last three and just defeated the Chargers on a late TD pass from Jordan Love.

The good news for the traditional franchise is that, precisely, Love is having a solid season, considering that the young QB has to step on the massive boots left by a legend like Aaron Rodgers. In the last game, he completed just 27 of 40 passes, but that was enough to cover over 300 yards. He’s nonetheless one of the most exciting projects in the league. However, his main problem comes in the away games.

Lions vs. Packers Final Betting Analysis:

These teams already met once this season, with the Lions winning 34-20 on the road, and we could see something in a similar range this time. We believe Jordan Love is too unripe to keep this kind of game close, especially at the hostile Ford Field.

The Packer’s quarterback is completing 56.9% of his passes on the road and has thrown six of his ten interceptions away from home. Factor in the injuries to David Bakhtiari (out), Aaron Jones (questionable), and Jaire Alexander (questionable), and we believe that Detroit wins by at least two possessions.

Go for a straight win for the Detroit Lions’ Moneyline. If you bet $100 at -375, you will gain $26 for a total payout of $126
