The big question is whether the defending champion can repeat their success and win the title again. The season will kick off next Thursday, September 7, 2023, and promises exciting games, unexpected twists, and unforgettable performances. The season’s first game will be on a TNF (Thursday Night Football) between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Detroit Lions at Arrowhead Stadium at 08:00 PM ET.

After their spectacular win last season, the Chiefs are undoubtedly the favorites heading into the new season. Their star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, has proven time and time again that he can perform under pressure, and with a solid supporting cast, the Chiefs look formidable. However, the NFL is known for its unpredictability, and the other teams are not there to make up the numbers.

NFL Season Preview 2023/24: Top contenders

The Buffalo Bills, led by the ageless Josh Allen, are expected to be the Chiefs’ main rivals. Allen is surrounded by high-caliber players such as Diggs, Milano, and Miller, who can help him display his full potential this season. On the other hand, the Cincinnati Bengals, with Joe Burrow, Chase, Higgins, and Boyd, have reached the AFC Finals for two consecutive seasons, so they are strong candidates to repeat it.

However, every NFL season holds a few surprises, and this one will be no different. The Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings of the NFC are coming off a truly amazing season, so they can make a splash in this new edition. Thanks to a very smart draft, the Eagles were very well reinforced.

Likewise, we cannot take our attention away from our favorite teams, the Chiefs, Eagles, Bills, and Bengals, who look like they are back with a vengeance to take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl LVIII.

As we prepare for the new season, the anticipation is sky-high. Can the Chiefs repeat their success, can the Eagles, Bengals, or Bills dethrone them. Or will we see an underdog like the Giants, Dolphins, or Cowboys sweep the NFL? Only time will tell.
