PSG have started their title defense in excellent form. They sit top of the group with three wins in three matches, scoring 13 goals and conceding just three—notably beating Barcelona away (1-2) and crushing Bayer Leverkusen in Germany (2-7). However, their domestic form in Ligue 1 has been less convincing lately, drawing 1-1 with Lorient and narrowly defeating Nice 1-0 thanks to a goal in the 90+4 minute.

Bayern, meanwhile, has begun the season like a steamroller. They’ve played 15 matches and won all 15. They’re right behind PSG in the standings with the same nine points, having scored 12 goals and conceded just two. They’re coming off a comfortable 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen—even after resting their red-hot attacking trio of Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Luis Díaz. The three have combined for 37 of the club’s 54 goals this season. Kane, along with Mbappé, currently leads the tournament in goals (5).

Liverpool is not going through their best moment, though it did finally have something to celebrate. They had lost six of their last seven matches across all competitions, but recently defeated Aston Villa 2-0. In the Champions League, they sit in 10th place with six points. Among their absentees are Alexander Isak and Jeremie Frimpong, while they’re still waiting for Florian Wirtz to prove why they paid nearly $150 million for him.

The situation couldn’t be more different for Real Madrid. They have a perfect record in the Champions League, scoring eight goals and conceding just one, and in LaLiga they’re coming off a 4-0 win over Valencia and a 2-1 victory against Barcelona—a match where, despite the close scoreline, they were clearly superior. Kylian Mbappé is enjoying the best goal-scoring season of his career, with 18 goals across all competitions. He’s only failed to score in two official matches and is tied with Kane as the tournament’s top scorer (5).

Liverpool vs. Real Madrid Betting Pick: Real Madrid

Champions League Matchday 4: Club Brugge vs. Barcelona

With just three points, Club Brugge sit 20th in the tournament standings. They earned a 4-1 home win over Monaco but lost on the road to Atalanta (2-1) and Bayern Munich (4-0). They’re currently on a three-game winning streak in domestic competitions, and this weekend they welcomed back Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika.

Injuries have taken a toll on this Barcelona side, who sit ninth with six points. They’ve lost to PSG (1-2) and Real Madrid (2-1), two teams of similar caliber, showing there’s still plenty to improve. They’re coming off a 3-1 victory over Elche in a match that saw Dani Olmo and Robert Lewandowski return to action, though the team is still waiting for Lamine Yamal to regain his pre-injury form and for Raphinha to recover.

Brugge vs. Barcelona Betting Pick: Barcelona

Champions League Matchday 4: Manchester City vs. Borussia Dortmund

Manchester City may no longer be the unstoppable machine they were a few years ago, but they remain contenders for every title. With seven points, they sit seventh in the standings, having defeated Napoli (2-0) and Villarreal (0-2) while drawing with Monaco (2-2). They’re coming off a 3-1 win over Bournemouth, led by a brace from Erling Haaland, who has now scored 25 goals in 15 official matches for club and country.

As for Borussia Dortmund, they’re one of the remaining unbeaten teams, tied with City on seven points but with a better goal difference. They opened with a 4-4 draw against Juventus and then earned wins over Athletic Club (4-1) and Kobenhavn (2-4), scoring four goals in each match. They’re currently on a four-game winning streak, although one of those victories came via penalties in the DFB Pokal.

Manchester City vs. Dortmund Betting Pick: Dortmund
