Why Bet on Real Madrid?

Real Madrid is always a contender. At the moment, they sit in fifth place with 12 points after four wins and one loss, scoring 12 goals and conceding five. They are three points behind the group leader and only two points away from falling out of the automatic qualification spots.

It hasnโ€™t been an easy path for the Spaniards. Only one of their victories has been by more than one goal. They opened with a 2โ€“1 win over Marseille thanks to two penalty goals from Kylian Mbappรฉ, followed by a comfortable 0โ€“5 against Kairat with a hat-trick from the Frenchman. Then came a narrow 1โ€“0 win over Juventus, a loss to Liverpool (1โ€“0), and finally a 3โ€“4 thriller against Olympiacos with four goals from Mbappรฉ.

Thereโ€™s no doubt it has been an extraordinary season for the 26-year-old forward, who has nine goals in the tournament and 25 this season in 21 matches for Real Madrid.

However, the โ€˜Merenguesโ€™ are not at their best right now. They have won only two of their last seven matches and are coming off a 0โ€“2 home defeat to Celta in LaLiga. This run of poor results has cost them the top spot in the league, and they now sit four points behind leaders Barcelona.

Xabi Alonso has struggled to give the team consistent high-level performances, and there havenโ€™t been many matches where Madrid has looked dominant.

The Spaniards will also have several absences, especially in defense, with ร‰der Militรฃo becoming the latest to join the injury list this Sunday. He joins Dani Carvajal, Ferland Mendy, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Eduardo Camavinga, while David Alaba and Dean Huijsen remain doubtful.

Why Bet on Manchester City?

On Manchester Cityโ€™s side, they currently sit outside the direct qualification spots and are in the playoff positions only by a one-goal margin. They are ninth with 10 points after three wins, one draw, and one loss, scoring 10 goals and conceding five. Their goal difference is +5, while the teams in 6th through 8th place have the same number of points but a +6 goal difference.

In their most recent match, they were stunned by Bayer Leverkusen, who defeated them 0โ€“2 in England. It was not an efficient performance from Pep Guardiolaโ€™s side, who took 19 shotsโ€”seven on targetโ€”but couldnโ€™t break through Mark Flekkenโ€™s resistance.

Following that defeat, and one before against Newcastle in the Premier League, the โ€˜Citizensโ€™ bounced back with three straight league winsโ€” the first two by just one goal, and the last one a 3โ€“0 victory over Sunderland.

Since we mentioned goal scorers earlier, itโ€™s worth noting that Erling Haaland is not in his best form. He had a phenomenal start to the season, but he has scored only one goal in his last five matches, during which City scored 12 goals overall.

The only injured player for City is Mateo Kovaฤiฤ‡, who hasnโ€™t played since October 21, while Rodri, who was injured on October 5 and has only played a couple of minutes on November 2, remains doubtful.

Final Betting Analysis: Real Madrid vs. Manchester City

It will be a great match between two title contenders. Real Madrid has a special mystique in this tournament, and despite the large number of defensive absences, they should still be able to compete against a rival that needs Haaland to return to top form if they want to dream of winning this trophy again. We believe it will end in a draw.

The numbers at Gambyl Exchange favor Real Madrid with a Moneyline of +161, while Manchester City is at +165, and a draw is priced at +291.

The last time they faced each other was in February of this year in the playoff round, where Real Madrid won 2โ€“3 away and 3โ€“1 at home to advance to the next stage. Mbappรฉ scored four goals in that series, including a hat-trick in the second leg.

Go for a draw in the Moneyline. If you bet $100 at +291, you will gain $291 for a total payout of $391.
