Group B of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 kicks off with a challenging and important clash between Belgium and Italy, as Spain, the heavy favorite, is expected to finish top of the group.
Belgium comes into the tournament after a disappointing UEFA Nations League campaign but recently defeated Greece 2–0 in a friendly match.
Italy, meanwhile, also struggled in the Nations League, although they are currently unbeaten in three official matches.

Why Bet on Belgium?
Belgium is not a historic powerhouse in women’s football and has yet to win a major title. However, they have been consistently qualifying for recent European Championships—this will be their third consecutive appearance in the UEFA Women’s Euro.
In 2017, they were eliminated in the group stage, while in 2022, they reached the quarterfinals. They have never qualified for a World Cup, and in both the previous and current Nations League campaigns, they finished third in their group.
Their last official match was a 3–0 away win against Portugal in the Nations League. More recently, they played two friendlies—suffering a 5–0 defeat to France before bouncing back with a 2–0 victory over Greece, with goals from Tessa Wullaert and Jill Janssens.
Tessa Wullaert, the 32-year-old Inter Milan striker, scored five goals and provided two assists in six Nations League matches and recorded 10 goals and four assists this season in Serie A.
Why Bet on Italy?
Italy, on the other hand, has been in decline in women’s football after a strong early history. They were semifinalists in the first four editions of the tournament and finalists in two of the following three, losing both finals. However, in more recent years, they’ve been eliminated in the group stage on four occasions and have only reached the quarterfinals twice since then.
They had a solid UEFA Nations League campaign, finishing second in their group with 10 points—just two behind Sweden—narrowly missing out on the finals. They arrive at this tournament unbeaten in their last three matches, with two away wins and a home draw.
Unlike most of their rivals, Italy did not play any friendlies ahead of the tournament, meaning they could be a bit more rested, as their last match was a month ago.
Among their standout players are goalkeeper Laura Giuliani, who plays for AC Milan, and forward Cristiana Girelli, who scored 19 goals in Serie A to finish as the league’s top scorer while leading Juventus to the title. Also in the squad are Martina Piemonte (17 goals) and Manuela Giugliano (12), who were the second and third-highest scorers in Serie A. The team has a strong Juventus core.
Final Betting Analysis: Belgium vs. Italy
Although Italy hasn’t shown its best form in recent editions of the Euros, it has more history and better players than Belgium, which we don’t see advancing far in this group. That’s why we believe the ‘Azzurra’ will come away with the win.
The odds at Gambyl Exchange favor Italy, with their Moneyline at -126, while Belgium sits at +343, and a draw is priced at +295.
The last time these two national teams met was on February 16, 2023, in the Arnold Clark Cup, where Belgium won 2-1. They also faced each other in the previous Euro, during the group stage, and Belgium won again, 1-0. That makes it three straight victories for Belgium.
Go for a win for Italy. If you bet $100 at -126, you will gain $79 for a total payout of $179.
