On Saturday, February 12th, 2022, the world will be watching the most famous octagon as we get a rematch for the World Middleweight Title as the Main Event Fight for UFC 271.
On the main event, we get an exciting rematch between Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker, with both fighters having adjusted and grown from their previous meeting.

Why Bet on Israel Adesanya
Adesanya was victorious in October 2019 with a second-round stoppage and took advantage of a rusty Whittaker.
Since the first fight at UFC 243, Adesanya has established himself as the best middleweight in the UFC while also challenging for the light heavyweight title.

The former champion was returning from a year-long layoff following emergency surgery and felt burnt out inside the Octagon when they first faced off.

However, thanks to former light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz, Whittaker has a blueprint when it comes to beating Adesanya.

Why Bet on Derrick Lewis
Lewis has had seven fights in his entire career (out of 35 fights) that have ended by decision.
Those fans who have only seen his last fights will find it impossible to imagine such a thing.
Derrick’s tactic is entirely about waiting for the right moment.
And a punch, even a glancing one, is almost a guarantee that the fight will be over.
It doesn’t matter how much damage he’s dealt with, it doesn’t affect the impact of his blow.
Why Bet on Tai Tuivasa
Tuivasa, if inferior to Lewis in punching power, is not very far behind. Though you can’t really say he’s inferior.
He’s just a more primitive fighter, although compared to Derrick that phrase sounds surprising too.
But really, Tuivasa cannot do anything else but punch, but he’s impressively good at it.
12 of his 13 wins were knockouts and he knocked out four of his previous opponents, including Augusto Sakai in his last fight.

Brunson is perhaps the more complete fighter, as he’s a genuinely excellent wrestler and also possesses explosive power in his hands.
Brunson can win this bout if he fights smartly and uses his speed to get inside, ground Cannonier and keep him there, but he’ll need to take risks to do so.

This is an interesting fight, with both fighters being able to take the win, but given Brunson’s penchant for over-reaching and becoming too aggressive, the pick is Cannonier via KO.

Phillips is coming off a loss to Raulian Paiva, but prior to that, he looked excellent in his three UFC wins, particularly his victory over Song Yadong.
At his best, he’s an excellent striker and scrambler with cardio for days.

Rojo is far less proven and has lost two of his last three bouts, including his octagon debut against Charles Jourdain.
He’s a finisher, with just one of his 16 wins going the distance, and that should make him dangerous here.

After analyzing both fighters, and their performances, it’s easy to see that Phillips is far more proven at the top level.
While he did show holes in his game in his last bout, he should win this one by decision.
Bobby Green vs. Nasrat Haqparast
Why Bet on Bobby Green
Despite looking largely past his best over the last couple of years, Green rolled back the clock in November, producing his best performance in years to knock out Al Iaquinta.
Why Bet on Nasrat Haqparast
Haqparast, meanwhile, was beaten by Dan Hooker in his last bout, but he’s still a hard hitter with a technical yet somewhat unorthodox striking style.
He’s somewhat underrated on the ground, too.

This one should come down to which Green turns up.
If “King” can fight in an aggressive manner and use his boxing skills to back Haqparast up, there’s every chance he can outwork him to a decision.
However, if he stands back, then there’s a chance that the German fighter does enough to edge it.
