Descripción general del equipo de los Chicago Bears

The Detroit Lions enter the 2026 NFL season looking to reclaim the NFC North and return to the playoffs after a disappointing 2025 campaign. Head coach Dan Campbell remains at the helm, while the offense enters a new phase under offensive coordinator Drew Petzing. Jared Goff returns at quarterback, giving Detroit an experienced and proven leader, while the team continues to build around one of the NFL’s deepest collections of offensive playmakers. The Lions’ biggest offensive weapon may be running back Jahmyr Gibbs, who is expected to become the primary centerpiece of the ground game following the offseason trade of David Montgomery. Gibbs is coming off a 2025 season with 1,223 rushing yards, 13 rushing touchdowns, 77 receptions, 616 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns. Detroit also retains elite receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and tight end Sam LaPorta, giving Goff plenty of weapons in the passing game. The Lions have a legitimate path back to the top of the division, but they will need their revamped offensive line and defensive front to perform consistently.

Análisis de la línea ofensiva

The Lions’ offensive line is entering a significant transition in 2026. Detroit moved perennial All-Pro Penei Sewell to left tackle following the departure of Taylor Decker, while Cade Mays is expected to compete for the center position and younger players such as Tate Ratledge and Christian Mahogany are expected to take on larger roles. The unit has plenty of talent, but it also carries legitimate uncertainty after ranking 31st in pass-block win rate in 2025. Jared Goff was sacked 39 times last season, his highest total since joining Detroit. The upside is that the Lions have deliberately gotten younger and more athletic up front, and Sewell remains one of the best offensive linemen in football. The biggest question is whether the new combination can provide the consistency that Goff and the passing game need. If the group develops quickly, Detroit’s offense has the potential to be one of the most explosive in the NFC.

Análisis de la línea defensiva

Detroit’s defensive line is built around one of the premier young pass rushers in the league, Aidan Hutchinson. Hutchinson recorded 14.5 sacks in 2025 and remains the centerpiece of the Lions’ defensive front. Alim McNeill and Tyleik Williams provide interior presence, while Derrick Moore emerged as another intriguing pass-rushing option after producing 10 sacks in 2025. The Lions did lose veteran defensive tackle DJ Reader, creating a potential weakness against the run and inside pressure, but the unit has considerable young talent and upside. Detroit’s defensive success could ultimately depend on whether Hutchinson can consistently attract enough attention to free up the rest of the front. If Moore continues to develop and McNeill returns to full effectiveness, this could become a very dangerous pass-rushing group.

Temporada 2026 de la NFL

Semana 1

Bears at Panthers | Sunday, September 13 | 1:00 PM ET | Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC

Chicago opens as a road favorite around -152 on the moneyline, with Carolina at +128, while the spread sits at Bears -2.5 and the total around 45.5. The Bears are the lean here, especially with Caleb Williams entering Year 3 in Ben Johnson’s system, but Carolina at home makes the spread less attractive than the moneyline.

Chicago’s offense should have enough to control the game, while the Panthers could struggle to consistently generate points against a Bears defense that should be one of their biggest strengths.

Prediction: Bears ML (-152), Bears -2.5, Under 45.5. Projected score: Chicago 24, Carolina 20.

Resumen de la semana 1

El Osos de Chicago could not have asked for a louder opening statement. Chicago destroyed Carolina 59-37, setting a franchise scoring record and producing the highest-scoring game of Week 1. Caleb Williams accounted for four touchdowns, while D’Andre Swift rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns. The Bears also received 100 rushing yards and a 61-yard touchdown from Kyle Monangai.

The most encouraging part for Chicago was that the offense was not dependent on one player. williams made plays with both his arm and legs, the running game consistently created explosive plays, and Chicago had 315 yards of total offense by halftime.

There is, however, an obvious concern: the defense gave up 37 points. Carolina moved the ball through the air and scored 31 points by the third quarter before Chicago finally pulled away.

That makes the Bears one of the most fascinating teams to evaluate after Week 1. The offense looked like a legitimate strength, but the defense still has to prove that it can consistently stop good teams.

Semana 2

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears | Sunday, September 20

The early market has Chicago around -5.5, con el total alrededor de 46.5.

This is a much more meaningful test than Carolina.

Minnesota just scored 39 points against Bahía Verde and finished Week 1 with 29 unanswered points. Chicago is being asked to lay more than a field goal because of that 59-point performance, but Minnesota’s offense has already shown it can create points.

The quarterback situation is particularly important. Kyler Murray left the Vikings’ opener with a concussion, and Carson Wentz stepped in to lead Minnesota’s comeback. Wentz is expected to start against Chicago.

Ángulo de apuestas: Chicago is the more exciting team after Week 1, but Minnesota +5.5 is worth consideration if the market continues pricing the Bears primarily off the 59-point performance.

Probabilidades de ganar la División y el Super Bowl

Probabilidades de ganar la NFC Norte: +310

Probabilidades de ganar el Super Bowl: +2500

Predicciones

Récord general: The Bears project to finish around 10-7, with the win total set at 9.5 and a slight lean to the over.

Posibilidades de playoffs: Strong playoff contender, but the NFC North remains one of the toughest divisions in football.

Posibilidades del Super Bowl: A legitimate dark horse, but still behind the NFC’s established contenders.

Chicago has a real chance to repeat as NFC North champions. Caleb Williams enters his third season, and Ben Johnson gets another year to build the offense around him. The biggest question is whether last year’s close-game success carries over against a tougher schedule. The Bears have enough talent on both sides of the ball to win 10 games, but Green Bay and Detroit make the division a weekly fight. If Williams takes the expected step forward and the defense remains consistent, Chicago can make the playoffs again—and at +2500, they’re an interesting long-shot Super Bowl ticket.
