Descripción general del equipo

The Titans enter 2026 starting over, again, but this time with real structure. A second consecutive 3–14 season cost Brian Callahan his job after a 1–5 start (interim Mike McCoy went 2–9 the rest of the way), while No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward absorbed every snap of a brutal rookie year: just under 60% completions for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns and 7 interceptions, capped by a shoulder injury in the finale at Jacksonville. The response was the offseason’s most aggressive coaching swing: Robert Saleh arrives on a five-year deal as head coach, with Brian Daboll as offensive coordinator, and the entire project now revolves around developing Ward.

Armed with over $92 million in cap space, second-most in the NFL, GM Mike Borgonzi spent to accelerate the rebuild. Edge rusher John Franklin-Myers headlines the class at $21 million per year, joined by a wave of Saleh and Daboll familiars including Jermaine Johnson II, Solomon Thomas, Jordan Elliott, Jacob Martin, and safety Tony Adams, plus veteran Mitchell Trubisky as Ward’s backup. The draft doubled down on premium positions: wide receiver Carnell Tate and edge Keldric Faulk arrived in round one of an eight-pick class.

Análisis de la línea ofensiva

Everything in Nashville flows through one question: can this line keep Cam Ward upright? After a rookie season spent under constant duress, Daboll’s quick-game structure should help manufacture cleaner pockets, and Tate gives Ward a legitimate outside target. If the protection stabilizes even to league-average, year two is where Ward’s tools should start showing up on the scoreboard.

Análisis de la línea defensiva

This is where the money went and where Saleh’s identity lives. Franklin-Myers, Johnson, Thomas, and Martin import his four-man-rush DNA wholesale, Jordan Elliott deepens the interior alongside stalwart Jeffery Simmons, and rookie Keldric Faulk adds long-term edge upside. On paper, this front seven is the fastest path to respectability. Saleh-built defensive lines have historically outperformed their talent, and this one finally has talent.

Temporada 2026 de la NFL

Semana 1:

Jets contra Tennessee Titans | Domingo, 13 de septiembre | 13:00 ET | Estadio Nissan, Nashville, TN

The schedule-makers couldn’t resist: Robert Saleh opens his Titans tenure against the team that fired him. Tennessee is a 3-point home favorite at -170 on the moneyline against the Jets’ +142, with the total at a rock-bottom 39.5; the market expects defense and field position, exactly the kind of game Saleh teams are built to win.

A revenge-game win at home would be the perfect proof of concept for the new regime; a loss to his former team would make it a long week in Nashville.

Semana 2

Eagles at Tennessee Titans | Sunday, September 20 | 1:00 PM ET | Nissan Stadium, Nashville, TN

The market has seen enough: Tennessee opens as a home underdog again, priced at +250 on the moneyline against Philadelphia’s -310, with the Eagles laying 7 points on the road and the total sitting at just 39.5 to 40.5. The revenge game went the wrong way in Week 1, with the Jets taking one on the road in Saleh’s opener against his former club, and now the Titans get a Philadelphia side that handled Washington to open 1-0.

Two straight sub-41 totals tell you exactly how the league sees this offense: the market does not think Tennessee can score, and it has not been given a reason to. Cam Ward has to show something here, because a 0-2 start with the schedule ahead turns a rebuilding year into a lost one quickly.

Semana 3

Titans at New York Giants | Sunday, September 27 | 1:00 PM ET | MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ

Tennessee stay on the road as underdogs, priced at +205 on the moneyline against New York’s -250, taking 5.5 points with the total set at 43.5. The Titans are 0-2 but lost their best game of the season in the process, falling 24-20 to Philadelphia after Jalen Hurts needed a nine-play, 65-yard drive in the closing seconds to win it with a touchdown pass to Darius Cooper. The Giants opened with a 28-20 win over Dallas in John Harbaugh’s first game in charge and visit the Rams on Monday night, so their record is still incomplete as these lines go up.

The most interesting number here is the total. Tennessee opened the season with back-to-back marks under 41, and we said the market had decided this offense could not score. It has now been moved to 43.5; the Titans put up 20 on Philadelphia and covered comfortably, and the books have responded. Cam Ward still has nothing in the win column and the schedule is not getting kinder, but 5.5 points is a smaller ask than either of the first two weeks, and this is the first time all season Tennessee have been priced like a competent football team. Watch the Rams game before committing: a Giants result on Monday night will move this line in one direction or the other.

Semana 4

Titanes contra Baltimore Ravens | Domingo, 4 de octubre | 13:00 ET | Estadio M&T Bank, Baltimore, MD

Tennessee hit the road as 11.5-point underdogs at +500 on the moneyline against Baltimore’s -700, with the total set at 43.5. The Titans are 0-3 and the number has moved against them all week, from an opening line of Ravens -8.5 out to -11.5, while the total has fallen four points from 47.5. Tennessee are coming off a 12-7 defeat at the Giants in which they scored a single touchdown, a week after covering as seven-point underdogs against Philadelphia.

Cam Ward’s season needs something to happen and this is close to the hardest possible place for it. Baltimore are 2-1, won in Rio, and are being backed heavily at home against a team averaging under 11 points a game. The only argument for the visitors is the one that landed two weeks ago: Tennessee have covered a large number before, and a 43.5 total suggests the books expect a low-scoring afternoon in which 11.5 is a lot of points to give away.

Semana 5

Texans contra Tennessee Titans | Domingo, 11 de octubre | 13:00 ET | Estadio Nissan, Nashville, Tennessee

Tennessee are home underdogs at +245 on the moneyline against Houston’s -305, receiving 6.5 points with the total set at 39.5, one of the lowest numbers of the week. The Titans are 0-4 after a 24-18 defeat to Baltimore in which they covered 11.5 points comfortably, and they have now failed to reach 19 points in any game this season.

The covering is the only argument and it is a real one. Tennessee have been beaten by 11.5-point favorites and kept it to six, and were seven-point underdogs against Philadelphia in Week 3 and lost by four. This is a team that loses and stays close, which is exactly the profile that makes a 6.5-point home line uncomfortable for the favorite. Cam Ward still has nothing in the win column, but a 39.5 total in a division game against an 0-4 opponent is the kind of spot where a winless team finally gets one.

Semana 6

Semana 7

Browns at Tennessee Titans | Sunday, October 25 | 1:00 PM ET | Nissan Stadium, Nashville, TN

Cleveland travel to Nashville as 1.5-point road favorites, priced at -130 on the moneyline against the Titans’ +110, with the total down to 38.5 after opening at 40.5, the lowest number on the Week 7 board. The Browns are 4-2 and lead the AFC North with a minus-16 point differential, having beaten Baltimore 13-10 while scoring 106 points in six games, the joint fourth-lowest total in football. Tennessee are 1-5 at minus forty-five but arrive off their first win of the season, 26-20 at Indianapolis, in which they scored twenty points in the fourth quarter after trailing 13-6.

ESPN’s model does not make Cleveland favorites at all, it has Tennessee ahead by 0.1 points at exactly a 50% win probability. That is the projection calling a dead coin flip between a 4-2 division leader and a 1-5 team, and it is the sharpest disagreement with the market on the board. The case for it is that Cleveland’s record is built on narrow wins and a losing differential, and we have called them the league’s clearest regression candidate for three straight weeks while they have gone 4-2. The case against taking Tennessee is that 84 points in six games is still the worst offensive output in football, and one fourth quarter does not undo that. A 38.5 total says the market expects neither team to score.

Semana 8

Titans at Cincinnati Bengals | Sunday, November 1 | 1:00 PM ET | Paycor Stadium, Cincinnati, OH

Cincinnati host Tennessee as 10-point favorites at -600 on the moneyline against the Titans’ +440, with the total dropping three points to 46.5 from an opening 49.5. The Bengals are 4-2 at plus forty-one (the second-best point differential in the AFC behind Jacksonville) and arrive off that 35-13 win in Baltimore in which Tee Higgins caught six passes for 148 yards and a touchdown and all 35 points came after the interval. The Titans are 1-6 at minus forty-eight, the second-worst differential in the conference behind the 0-6 Chargers, and lost 27-24 at home to Cleveland in a game they led 14-7 after one quarter before scoring nothing in the second or third. Tony Pollard ran 25 times for 129 yards and three touchdowns, 5.16 a carry, and Tennessee still lost. They are averaging 15.4 points a game.

This is the one game this week where the model wants more of the favorite, not less. No-vig, the market prices Cincinnati at 82.2%; FPI has them at 86.4%, a four-point disagreement in the Bengals’ direction. Ten points is a large number and the instinct is to take the dog, but the instinct is wrong here: Tennessee have scored 108 points in seven games and their best offensive performance of the season still ended in defeat because they cannot sustain anything past the first quarter. The honest caution is the three-point drop in the total, from 49.5 to 46.5, which reads as the market agreeing Tennessee will not score. That makes the Bengals the side and the under the cleaner expression of the same view, a 10-point favorite at a 46.5 total has to win roughly 28-18 to satisfy both, and only one of those numbers looks safe. Cincinnati to win, with the spread at 10 treated as a coin-flip rather than value.

Probabilidades de ganar la División y el Super Bowl

Probabilidades de ganar la AFC Sur: +850. A clear fourth behind Houston (+120), Jacksonville (+210), and Indianapolis (+400), with the win total set at just 6.5 (Over -105 / Under -115).

Probabilidades de ganar el Super Bowl: +13000, with +5500 to win the AFC. This is a development year, not a contention year.

Predicciones

Récord general: 7–10. The defensive front should be immediately better and Daboll’s track record with young quarterbacks is real, we lean Over 6.5, roughly doubling last year’s win count.

Posibilidades de playoffs: Remote. A Wild Card push requires Ward to make a Year 2 leap and the AFC South’s top three to stumble simultaneously.

Posibilidades del Super Bowl: At +13000, not a serious conversation in 2026; the payoff this season is measured in Ward’s development curve.

In summary, the Titans enter 2026 as the AFC South’s clear fourth team, but with the division’s most interesting long game. A proven defensive architect in Saleh, a quarterback developer in Daboll, a rebuilt front seven, and a full offseason invested in Cam Ward give Tennessee something it hasn’t had in years: a coherent plan. The record may not say it yet, but the gap in this division should start closing.
