In the fifth week of the 2022-23 season of the best basketball in the world, the NBA has already ended, in which the Boston Celtics swept each one of the teams they faced to continue leading the Eastern Conference and add their ninth consecutive victory.

The Milwaukee Bucks had a somewhat split week and now find themselves in second place in the East, just 1.5 games behind first place. Then we have teams like the Hawks, Cavaliers, Pacers, and Wizards, who all finished the week with wins and are near the top of the conference.

While the Nets seem to be bouncing back after winning their last two games this weekend, we have Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls, after having an excellent previous season, right now are in a terrible spot and are much closer to the conference ditch than to the upper-mid zone.

In the Western Conference equality reigns, as it has been in recent years where up to 6 teams can be leading the standings.

Right now, Utah Jazz has a grip on this bar that, with 2 consecutive wins this weekend they managed to maintain the 1 game difference concerning Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, and Denver Nuggets.

A very pleasant surprise is being given by the Sacramento Kings who, after their sixth consecutive victory and their perfect week, climbed to the fifth position and are only 1.5 games away from first place. The Grizzlies are in sixth place, also 1.5 games off the lead, and the Clippers seem to have woken up and have moved closer to the top of the table.

Very good news for Warriors and Lakers fans as, after a tough start, they managed to close the week with back-to-back wins to give their fans hope that they will have a new team from now on.

Probabilidades de vitória:

Heat -128

Suns +105

What we were waiting for, two great teams in the league gave us a great game to kick off this week 5 of the season and, although our prediction of victory for the Suns was not fulfilled, it was a very close game that until the last second could have been for any team.

The Miami Heat managed to beat the Phoenix Suns in Miami, with a score of 113-112 to get a big win before the debacle of the week where they lost their next 3 games.

The Heat started strong at home, with an excellent team play that helped them win the first quarter with a 35-30 score. The Suns woke up and managed to get within 1 point to go to the break after a second quarter where the defense was the team’s main weapon.

In the second half of the game, the Suns started with DeAndre Ayton in his best moment scoring 8 points and Mikal Bridges with 7 points to go ahead by 7 points.

No resto do jogo o Bucks focou um pouco mais na defesa para conseguir a vitória in the second quarter they allowed only 23 points, in the third quarter 18, and in the last quarter 20 points.

The Milwaukee Bucks continue to prove to the entire league that they are strong candidates to win the championship rings again this season.

Result: Milwaukee Bucks (113) – (98) Cleveland Cavaliers

NBA Weekly Roundup – Week 5 – Phoenix Suns vs. Golden State Warriors

Quando:

Quarta-feira, 16 de novembro às 22h (horário do leste dos EUA)

Probabilidades de vitória:

Sóis +106

Guerreiros -129

O Suns mostrou ao longo do jogo que seu ataque está entre os melhores do campeonato, com média de 32,5 pontos por quarto, a fairly high amount for a team that intends to go as far as possible again this season, so their offense has responded and there is no need to worry about it.

Their defense, on the other hand, has been a bit weaker. While they were facing Curry and his Warriors, the Suns also conceded a lot of points in this game, in 3 of the 4 quarters they conceded 30 or more points.

For the Suns, Payne scored 29 points and Booker scored 27 points. While for the Warriors, Curry went extremely crazy with 50 points, 21 of which came from 7 three-pointers.

Result: Phoenix Suns (130) – (119) Golden State Warriors

NBA Weekly Roundup – Week 5 – Atlanta Hawks vs. Toronto Raptors

Quando:

Saturday, November 19 at 06:00 pm ET

Probabilidades de vitória:

Falcões

raptores

Finally, the game between the Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors ended as we predicted in our NBA Week 5 preview, with a victory for the Atlanta Hawks, which ended with a score of 124-122.

The Hawks came into this game after an excellent victory against the Bucks, so, in addition to playing at home, they had the confidence and spirit to face any team in the league and achieve victory.

Likewise, the game was not as relaxed as they expected, since they had to play overtime to get the victory.

The game was evenly matched at all times, neither team was able to gain a considerable advantage at any time during the game. So much so that the maximum advantage in the game was the one that the Hawks took in the last quarter to send this game to overtime.

It should be noted that the Hawks lost the first two quarters, tied the third quarter 27-27, and won the last quarter 29-22.

In overtime, the Hawks were very cold-blooded and, with a play that we do not know whether to call genius or defensive error, managed to take the victory.

With 3.8 seconds left, the game was tied 122-122 with Atlanta taking the ball out of bounds. Trae Young, who was all alone, went to the opposite court and with an “alley-oop” with AJ Griffing managed to score the 2 points of the victory.

Result: Atlanta Hawks (124) – (122) Toronto Raptors
