Visão geral da equipe
The Chargers are looking to finally break through after back-to-back 11-6 seasons under Jim Harbaugh ended in first-round playoff losses, most recently a Wild Card exit at New England. Harbaugh fired longtime offensive coordinator Greg Roman and replaced him with Mike McDaniel, the innovative former Dolphins head coach, while promoting Chris O’Leary to defensive coordinator after Jesse Minter left to become the Ravens’ head coach.
With quarterback Justin Herbert still chasing his first career playoff win and a healthier roster around him, Los Angeles enters 2026 with real belief that year three under Harbaugh is when it finally gets over the hump.
Análise da linha ofensiva
Tackles Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt, both of whom suffered season-ending injuries in 2025, are back and healthy to anchor a retooled front that also added center Tyler Biadasz and guard Cole Strange in free agency plus second-round rookie Jake Slaughter. It amounts to five new pieces up front compared to last season, all built around better protecting Herbert and finally translating his regular-season brilliance into the postseason.
Análise da Linha Defensiva
Veteran Khalil Mack, who re-signed on a one-year, $18 million deal, pairs with Tuli Tuipulotu, who is coming off a career-high 13 sacks, and first-round rookie Akheem Mesidor to give Los Angeles a legitimate three-man pass-rush rotation. All-Pro safety Derwin James Jr. remains the engine of a defense that finished top five in the league in yards allowed under Minter, giving new coordinator Chris O’Leary a strong foundation to build on.

Los Angeles is a significant road underdog, priced at +280 on the moneyline against Seattle’s -355, with the Seahawks favored by 6.5 points and the total set at 42.5. The Chargers are desperate for their first win of the season, but they’re heading into a tough road environment against a Seahawks team looking to bounce back from its own Week 3 loss to Washington.
A must-win-feeling spot for a Chargers team that has generated turnovers but hasn’t been able to turn them into results.
Week 3 Recap
Chargers 16, Bills 24 | Sunday, September 27 | New Highmark Stadium, Orchard Park, NY
Los Angeles actually forced five takeaways on the road but still couldn’t find a way to finish, falling to 0-3 to start the season. It’s the first 0-3 start of the Jim Harbaugh era, and the offense continues to be the bigger problem despite a defense that has generated turnovers all year.
Semana 3
Los Angeles Chargers at Buffalo Bills | Sunday, September 27 | 1:00 PM ET | New Highmark Stadium, Orchard Park, NY
Los Angeles is a significant road underdog, priced at +270 on the moneyline against Buffalo’s -340, with the Bills favored by 7 points and the total set at 50.5. The Chargers are 0-2 for the first time in the Jim Harbaugh era and now face a Bills team that just hung 41 points on Detroit in its stadium debut.
A must-fix spot for a Chargers team that has dropped consecutive games it was expected to win, against one of the league’s hottest offenses.
Week 2 Recap
Chargers 14, Raiders 26 | Sunday, September 20 | SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
Los Angeles briefly took a 14-10 lead in the third quarter on a Justin Herbert touchdown pass to Oronde Gadsden, but the offense stalled after that, managing only two punts and a fumble the rest of the way. The loss dropped the Chargers to 0-2 to start the Mike McDaniel era on offense.
Semana 2
Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers | Sunday, September 20 | 4:05 PM ET | SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
Los Angeles is favored at home, priced at -310 on the moneyline against Las Vegas’s +250, with the Chargers favored by 7 points and the total set at 45.5. The Raiders are fresh off a 27-13 win over Miami behind Kirk Cousins, giving Los Angeles a motivated divisional opponent as it looks to erase last week’s upset loss.
A get-right opportunity at home for the Chargers, though a resurgent Raiders team under Klint Kubiak makes this far from a guaranteed bounce-back.
Resumo da 1ª semana
Chargers 14, Cardinals 26 | Sunday, September 13 | SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
Los Angeles suffered the biggest upset of Week 1, falling 26-14 at home to an Arizona team that opened as a 9.5-point underdog under first-year coach Mike LaFleur. Justin Herbert threw a touchdown to Ladd McConkey in his debut under new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel, but four Chad Ryland field goals and a strong Arizona ground game were enough to spoil the Chargers’ opener.
Semana 1
Cardinals at Chargers | Sunday, September 13 | 4:25 PM ET | SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
Los Angeles opens as a massive home favorite, priced at -625 on the moneyline against Arizona’s +455, with the Chargers favored by 11.5 points, the largest spread of any Week 1 game since 2012, and the total set at 45.5 points. Arizona is coming off a 3-14 season and still sorting out its quarterback room, making this an ideal spot for the Chargers to debut Mike McDaniel’s offense against a clearly overmatched opponent.
A lopsided season opener gives Los Angeles a low-risk look at its new offensive and defensive systems before the schedule gets considerably tougher.

Previsões
Registro geral: The Chargers are projected to finish around 11-6, in line with their track record over the past two seasons.
Chances de playoff: Among the safer bets in the conference to return to the postseason
Chances do Super Bowl: A legitimate contender, with the shortest Super Bowl odds of the Harbaugh era
Los Angeles has the healthiest version of this roster yet, and a new offensive system built specifically to get more out of Justin Herbert. Expect the Chargers to be in the mix for the AFC West race all year, with the postseason breakthrough finally within reach if the offensive line stays on the field.
