Why bet on Japan?

Japan continued their dominance as they defeated Italy 9-3 in Tokyo, while Mexico edged past Puerto Rico 5-4 in a thrilling contest in Miami to set up a huge semi-final between the two sides at the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

Japan went on to win the match-up by six runs, qualifying for the semi-final while remaining undefeated and having an impressive total of 47 runs for and only 11 runs against, as they look for their third World Baseball Classic title.

Why bet on Mexico?

In the other quarter-final match-up, Mexico came from behind to defeat Puerto Rico at the LoanDepot Park in Florida before an attendance of 35,817 after going by four during the top of the first.

Mexico pulled the score line within two, but it was the seventh inning when the game turned on its side.

This is the first-time Mexico reached the semi-final of the World Baseball Classic, and they will look to grab a historic win against favorites Japan in Miami on Monday.

Final Betting Analysis: Japan vs. Mexico

Two powerhouses of World Baseball face each other in an awaited semifinal, although they come with different presents. Japan has been the great competitor in this World Baseball classic edition, while Mexico may not be at its best, but fulfilled the expectations by reaching this semifinal.

Shohei Ohtani has been the main star of this tournament, but luckily for Mexico, he probably won’t be able to start this game, as his 2023 MLB debut is too close. In his place, the young Roki Sasaki will start but this doesn’t mean that the Central Americans will have it easy.

For Mexico, the pitching starter will be Patrick Sandoval, who may not have as much speed as the Japanese pitchers in his hands but has the magic to make every ball valuable with his curve.

Whatever the case, this seems like a hard match-up for the Mexicans, as the Asians seem to have the answer to any challenge their rivals can put on the pitch.

For this match, we expect Japan to take a narrow victory against Mexico.

If you bet $100 in Japan at -309 you can get $32.36 for a total payout of $132.36.
