The Dallas Mavericks, thanks to an excellent game by their star Luka Doncic; who achieved a great double-double, in which he scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds; won this Tuesday, February 15, 2022, with a score of 107-99 in Miami, against the Miami Heat and, with a festival of three-pointers by the Mavs, where they scored 18 of 41, they managed to cut the very good winning streak with which the Heat came to this game.

The Mavericks started this game with a low percentage of shots scored, especially their star Luka Doncic, who scored only 1 of 5 shots, while for the Miami Heat the great protagonist of the first quarter was the Turkish Omer Yurtseven, with an excellent performance, where he scored 4 of 4 shots, in four minutes played coming off the bench that gave a 28-23 advantage to the Heat in the first twelve minutes of play.

The tight defense implemented by the Heat on Doncic completely annulled the Mavericks star, who finished the second quarter with 2-9 from the field and with only 10 points scored, which were the result of 5-6 free throws.

On the other hand, the Heat had twelve points from Bam Adebayo, and eight from Kyle Lowry and PJ Tucker, which led to a maximum lead of ten points (56-46), later reduced to 59-51 with which the two teams went to the break.

Mavericks, with the help of Doncic, managed to overcome all the barriers that prevented them from playing a good game and managed to take the victory in the third quarter.

The Slovenian scored eleven points in the third quarter and the Mavs managed to have a 17-5 partial score that allowed them to complete the comeback and escape with 7 points of difference (86-79) with a new triple by Brunson.

The last quarter started with the same tone as the third, the Mavericks grew thanks to an inspired Doncic, while Miami tried to dominate the game again as it had done in the first 2 quarters.

The Miami Heat’s reaction, which managed an 8-0 run to get back to within three points, was thwarted by Brunson’s 3-of-5 three-pointers and Maxi Kleber’s 3-of-8 attempts, which made the final score 107-99.
