NBA Preseason in Madrid: Mavericks vs. Real Madrid

Last Updated on October 9, 2023 9:31 pm by Erwin Noguera

We are entering the second week of this preseason 2023/24 in the NBA, and the teams are getting warmed up and ready to hit their peak by the time the regular season kicks in.

Several franchises start this autumn as favorites, and will undoubtedly want a good preseason to start in the best possible way. However, it is also fair to mention that, as in the NFL, some of them will likely leave their starters or star players on the bench as a precaution.

We are, however, walking into quite an interesting Preseason match, as the Mavericks are going to go against Real Madrid on the 3rd International preseason game.

Betting Analysis: Mavericks vs. Real Madrid

The Dallas Mavericks continue their international tour of the preseason, heading to Madrid, Spain to take on Luka Doncic’s former Club Real Madrid Tuesday afternoon.

This is the third international preseason game for the Mavericks, playing their previous two in Abu Dhabi against the Timberwolves. The Mavericks lost both of those games, so they’ll be looking for the first preseason win Tuesday in Madrid.

While preseason records don’t matter, historically teams that have gone winless in the preseason have had struggling regular seasons, so it’s important for the Mavericks to pick up a win in their remaining two games. Thankfully for Dallas, playing a non-NBA team will help with this tremendously, although Real Madrid is one of the best clubs in Europe.

One Way or another, this exhibition match will be one big celebration for the Madrid Teams, as they will get to see Luka Doncic, a now legend in the Mavericks team, who returns home five years after leaping to the NBA, present.

It is quite difficult to pinpoint all the details to take into consideration for this match, but we are going to keep it simple; the NBA has a high level to catch up to, which will make this a tough match for Real Madrid, but it doesn’t mean it will not be interesting.
