Why Bet on DR Congo?

DR Congo has had a difficult road in the African Cup of Nations, but thanks to its good defense, it has been able to reach the quarterfinals of the continental competition.

Before reaching that knockout, ‘Les Léopards’ had to face Morocco, who reached the semifinals in the last World Cup, in the group stage. They could draw 1-1, the same result they had obtained against Zambia. They drew 0-0 with Tanzania. In other words, Congo has drawn all the matches it has played so far.

In the round of 16, they were up against one of the favorites for the title, Egypt, who were without the injured Mohamed Salah. In regular time, they drew 1-1, but DR Congo was more effective in the penalty shootout, winning 8-7. The only player to miss was Arthur Masuaku, while the ‘Pharaohs’ had two mistakes from their penalty takers.

Among their squad, there are some well-known names, such as defenders Chancel Mbemba (Marseille) and Arthur Masuaku (Besiktas). But their biggest star is striker Cedric Bakambu, currently at Galatasaray and with a past at Villarreal.

Why Bet on Guinea?

Guinea is a very tough team in this African Cup, which was demonstrated by advancing from a complex group including Cameroon and Senegal.

In the round of 16, they defeated Equatorial Guinea 1-0, one of the in-form teams in African football, with a 13-match unbeaten record. The only goal of the match came at 90+8′, through Mohamed Bayo, after an assist from Ibrahim Diakite. In addition, in the 55th minute, their opponents were reduced to a man down due to Federico Bikoro’s red card, and in the 69th minute, the tournament’s top scorer, Emilio Nsue, missed a penalty.

Two wins, a draw, and a loss. That is the record of this nation in the Cup. Their defeat was against Senegal, the reigning kings of the competition.

It is worth noting that Guinea has only lost two of its last ten matches and has been a team that usually scores a good amount of goals, but in this tournament, it has only three in four games. Bayo, the striker of Le Havre, is the team’s best converter in the African Cup, with two goals.

Curiously, the most important players of this team are substitutes, we are referring to midfielder Naby Keita and striker Serhou Guirassy.

Final Betting Analysis: DR Congo vs. Guinea

The last two matches between DR Congo and Guinea ended in victory for the former. The most recent meeting ended 3-1, thanks to goals from Kebani, Bolingi, and Sidibe (against) on November 11, 2017.

The numbers at Gambyl Exchange have DR Congo as the favorite. The Moneyline for them shows 2.6, while Guinea has 3.135, and the draw is at 2.875.

This is a duel of two surprises in the African Cup of Nations. However, ‘Les Léopards’ will take the victory over Guinea, ending their streak of draws in the continental tournament.

Go for a win in Congo’s Moneyline. If you bet $100 at 2.6, you will gain $160 for a total payout of $260.
