Matchday 26 of the English Premier League is history, and the battle for the top of the standings continues between Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal.

All three teams won their games this weekend, which keeps the difference at just 2 points from first to third place. That makes us much more confident that we will have thrills until the last day of the season.

Liverpool delivered by crushing Luton midweek, later beating Chelsea 1-0 in the EFL Cup Grand Final. Arsenal crushed Newcastle 4-1, while City struggled more than enough against Bournemouth but still managed to take a narrow win to stay in contention at the top.

Aston Villa also won again to confirm their place in the top four of the table, while Tottenham and Manchester United fell and moved away from the fight for Champions League places.

Brighton and Everton gave us a very intense match full of emotions that ended with a 1-1 score.

Both teams displayed all their potential in the first and second half, looking to score the goal that would lead them to victory. Although the home team had many chances to score, the ineffectiveness of their forwards prevented them from taking the lead.

It was not until the 73rd minute that Everton opened the scoring with a great goal by Jarrad Branthwaite. That undoubtedly shocked Brighton, who were dominating from start to finish. Then, in the 81st minute, Billy Gilmour received a red card to leave the locals with many more worries at the end of the game.

However, in the 90+5th minute, Lewis Dunk was able to score the final 1-1 to give his team a point in this difficult match.

The Red Devils couldn’t make the most of their home advantage to take a victory that would have been great for them in their fight to climb the table.

The match was entertaining, as both had many chances to score throughout the 90 minutes. However, the first 45 minutes ended with a 0-0 draw.

At the start of the second half, Fulham went on the attack and managed to open the scoring in the 65th minute thanks to Calvin Bassey’s goal. From this moment on, United kept attacking to equalize the score, but it was not until the 89th minute when Harry Maguire scored the 1-1 after a rebound left by the Fulham goalkeeper.

Finally, when we all thought that the match would end in a draw or victory to the pushy Red Devils, Alex Iwobi scored 2-1 in the 90+7 minute to give the visitors the triumph.
