The Philadelphia 76ers’ point guard for last night’s game against the Miami Heat, Tyrese Maxey scored 13 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter, including nine in a row during a crucial moment, helping the depleted Sixers without their stars Joel Embiid and James Harden defeat the leaders of the Eastern Conference, Miami Heat, 113-106 on Monday.

This result shows that the Sixers have a lot to give in the rest of the season and that the Heat cannot slow the rhythm at the top. Despite already being classified for the postseason, if they are not careful, they can lose to the inspired 76ers.

First Quarters

In the first quarter, the visitors and leaders of the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat, came out to play a very aggressive game with their top star, Jimmy Butler, who scored 10 points in this quarter. Miami also had the presence of other players in the points and, thanks to this, they managed to take the first quarter with a score of 32-26.

The Sixers had what would ultimately be their offensive spark plug, Tyrese Maxey, who scored 8 points.

In the second quarter, the locals came out with everything, proposing a very offensive game and, above all, with a phenomenal defense. The Sixers, although they did not have Maxey offensively, who only played 1:41 minutes, managed to reverse the score and took the partial victory with a result of 31-24, which allowed them to go into the break with a 1 point advantage.

Second Half

The game continued with the same trend, very close and with many ball disputes. At this point in the game, we can say that it was one of the best we’ve enjoyed this NBA season.

Maxey took control of the game in the last two and a half minutes, with the match in the balance. In a game that was tight from the start, Philadelphia was holding on to a two-point lead when Maxey got on the scoresheet, was fouled, and made the free throw to extend the lead to 106-101 with 2:18 remaining.

After Butler missed a 3-point attempt, Maxey hit a 3-pointer of his own. Lowry and Tyler Herro couldn’t convert at the other end and the point guard from Kentucky hit another three-pointer that made it 112-101 to the roar of his fans.

Finally, the game ended with a score of 113-106 favoring the local team, the Philadelphia 76ers.
