After clinching a win over the Detroit Lions, the San Francisco 49ers will meet the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl 58 on Sunday, February 11th. Among these players will be Mexico’s own Alfredo Gutiérrez.

While the 6 foot 9 Tijuana native won’t be playing in the Super Bowl, he will be on the roster as a practice squad member, where he has been since 2021. He joined as a part of the International Player Pathway Program with a one-year contract which has since been re-signed twice.

Even though the Tijuana native, standing at 6 foot 9 won’t be playing in the Super Bowl, he will still be part of the team as a practice squad member. This has been his role since 2021.

While speaking with Fox Deportes earlier this week, Gutierrez expressed his excitement by saying:

“I really love Las Vegas and even more if it is to play Super Bowl.”

Gutierrez is also surrounded by friends and family who are beyond excited for him to be at the Super Bowl. After their win against the Lions, he presented his father with a 49ers jersey.

In a video on X that captured the moment, his father said:

“We come from playing in the streets and now we are one step away from winning a Super Bowl.”

San Francisco 49ers Betting Odds

Super Bowl LVIII will see the San Francisco 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Las Vegas.

While the 49ers are vying for their sixth Super Bowl ring, they haven’t been champions since 1995.

Could this be the end of the Niners 29-year Lombardi Trophy drought?

The team is well prepared for Sunday and has put a lot of their faith in Brock Purdy so far, which has worked for them this far in the NFL post-season.

The 49ers have the tools and skillset to start the game strongly and pull ahead in the first quarter. If they keep the momentum going like they have all season, then they can pull off a win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
