Many expectations for the return of tennis at the highest level in Morocco, after two years in which it was canceled due to the effects of the pandemic. The grand final match will be this Sunday, April 10, 2022, between the Serbian Alex Molcan against the Belgian David Goffin.
Alex Molcan comes to this final match after 4 excellent victories in this Grand Prix Hassan II. In his first match and the second of his calendar, he crushed the Italian Stefano Travaglia with an excellent score of 6-0 and 6-4. On the other hand, after more than a year, the Belgian David Goffin will once again play a grand final in an ATP Tour tournament. And he will do it at the Grand Prix Hassan II in Marrakech; after eliminating and stopping the star tennis player of this tournament, the Argentine Federico Coria. Their match was this Saturday, ending with a score of 6-3, 6-3 in a duel that lasted 1 hour and 23 minutes.
The Belgian is currently #74 in the ATP Tour world ranking and will be contesting his #15 final in his entire professional career.
Goffin has defeated the Bosnian Damir Dzumhur in the first round (6-2 and 7-6), Pablo Andújar in the second round (5-7, 7-6 and 6-3), Roberto Carballés Baena in the quarterfinals final (6-7, 6-4 and 6-0) and Coria in the semifinals.
