The Liga MX continues with the emotions in its final stretch and once again América and Monterrey appear at the top of the overall standings. The Azulcremas and Rayados are equal on points and are very close to becoming the first teams to secure a direct ticket to the quarterfinals of the next Liguilla.
For their part, Chivas de Guadalajara took advantage of this weekend to move closer to the TOP 4 of the standings, which they could enter the following week if the results go in their favor again.
Cruz Azul, Pumas, and Atlas remain at the bottom of the table. The current two-time Mexican soccer champions, Atlas, are on the verge of losing their playoff chances after another defeat on matchday 14.
Still leading the playoff zone are Tigres UANL and Toluca with 24 and 23 points, respectively. Both were unable to win this weekend and missed the chance to return to the top of the table.

With a great second half, América achieved its ninth consecutive victory in this Apertura 2022 Tournament on Saturday after defeating Necaxa 1-2 at Estadio Victoria. The goals in this historic victory for América were scored by Jonathan dos Santos and Roger Martínez, achieving the best winning streak in the team’s history.
The duel started uphill for América, which conceded an early goal to put the club’s historic mark in doubt, through Facundo Batista in the 8th minute.
América did not find themselves in the first half and went to the break at the disadvantage at the Victoria Stadium in Aguascalientes.
The second half was completely different, América went out to get a victory at any cost, and they did. The equalizer came with an authentic goal by Jonathan dos Santos in the 58th minute.
In the 74th minute, after many attacks, they managed to score the second and final goal through Roger Martínez.
With this result, América remains at the top of the standings, tied with Monterrey, while Necaxa dropped to tenth place.

Rayados suffered throughout the match, taking a long time to wake up, and lacking precision in attack, but still managed to beat Juárez 1-0 at the Estadio Olímpico Benito Juárez with a goal by Jesús Gallardo, which puts them as leaders of the Apertura 2022, equal with América.
Although Monterrey had the ball in the first half, they did not manage to shoot at goal even once, so they went to the break with a 0-0 tie on the scoreboard.
In the second half, the match had the same tone, with Monterrey attacking Juarez incessantly, but the lack of effectiveness in front of the opponent’s goal kept them from scoring.
It was not until the 76th minute when Jesús Gallardo was able to open the scoreboard with a great goal after a great individual play.

Pachuca continues to recover ground in Liga MX and is very close to the top of the championship after beating Tijuana 6-1 at home. With this result, Pachuca is third in the standings with 28 points.
After Tijuana missed a penalty kick in the 15th minute, Pachuca did not forgive and in the 19th minute, they scored the first goal of the match by Ibarra. Two minutes later, Sanchez would score his first of the night with a great right-footed shot outside the box.
Before the end of the first half, Tijuana scored through Alexis Canelo in the 46th minute.
In the second half, Pachuca crushed Tijuana and with goals in the 52nd, 72nd, 73rd, and 81st minutes, they completed the victory that brings them closer to the top of the standings.
Tijuana is still winless and its presence in the playoffs is now in great danger.

Miracles do exist and in soccer, they are no exception. When it seemed that Querétaro would win again in the tournament (something that is not often seen either), goalkeeper Carlos Acevedo scored at the last minute to give Santos a 3-3 tie in the 90+10th minute.
Querétaro started the match with quick possession of the ball; however, it was to be the Laguneros who took the lead with a mid-distance shot by Harold Preciado in the 25th minute.
From that point on, the match became a back-and-forth affair in which the locals managed to equalize the score in the 31st minute thanks to a goal by Angel Sepúlveda.
Before the end of the first half, Querétaro took the lead thanks to a goal scored by Juan Romagnoli at minute 44.
At the start of the second half, Santos equalized in the 47th minute through Leonardo Suárez. The rhythm of the match was broken in the 74th minute by Ettson Ayón, who scored his first goal of the tournament and gave Querétaro another chance to dream of another victory.
Finally, in the last play of the match, on a Santos corner kick, goalkeeper Acevedo was able to head in the goal that would give them a 3-3 tie.
