Last Updated on October 7, 2022 6:24 pm by Erwin Noguera

All basketball fans around the world are looking forward to seeing their stars on the court, their unforgettable plays, and the new talents that keep appearing every NBA season.

As usual, the NBA designs and publishes a schedule with the preseason games so that fans can follow the preparation of their teams and know how the teams are forming for the season that will soon begin.

After the pandemic period, the NBA will finally be able to take its games back to some countries. This time, two pre-season games will take place in Abu Dhabi, most likely on Tuesdays. This will be a golden chance for basketball fans to follow their stars closely.

Pre-season games started on September 30th and are happening almost daily. Friday, October 14th will be the last day of the preparatory games, as the regular season will start on October 18th, putting an end to the anxiety of Basketball fans around the world.

Let’s follow the main pre-season matches that will be played on Monday, October 10th, seeking to understand how the teams arrive for the 22/23 NBA season.

NBA Preseason Week 3: Wizards vs. Hornets

When: Monday, October 10th, 07:00 pm ET

Moneyline odds:

Draw Offs:

Where Can I Watch it? NBA League Pass / NBC

Preseason games tend to be a little different than regular season games. The coaching staff uses these friendly games to make adjustments to the team’s tactical system, test players, interact with the public and build expectations for the season ahead.

However, although we are talking about a friendly game, the teams are looking to win the matches, which already shows that they are well-prepared for the season. The confrontation between the two teams has been very balanced. In the last 5 times they faced each other, the Hornets won 3 and lost 2.

To counter this recent record, the Wizards had to rely on Kristaps Porzingis’ shooting accuracy and Monte Morris’ good assists. Our guess is for the Wizards to win.

NBA Preseason Week 3: Philadelphia 76ers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

When: Monday, October 10th at 07:00 pm ET

Moneyline odds:

Draw Offs:

Where Can I Watch it? NBA League Pass / NBC

The Cavaliers will play at home and will be faced with a rather indigestible opponent. In the last 5 matches against the 76ers, the Cleveland team lost all matches. This tough stat can be broken at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, but for that to happen, Donovan Mitchell needs to get all the balls in and the team has to be focused defensively. It won’t be easy to face Tyrese Maxey and Jaden Springer. Our guess is for the 76ers to win.

NBA Preseason Week 3: Houston Rocket vs. Miami Heat

When: Monday, October 10th at 07:00 pm ET

Moneyline odds:

Draw Offs:

Where Can I Watch it? NBA League Pass / NBC

FTX Arena, in beautiful Miami, will host the super showdown between Houston Rocket and Miami Heat. The home team has a good advantage in the match, as they have won 4 of the last 5 matches in which they have faced each other.

The Miami Heat’s tradition, even in unofficial games, is surprising. The team usually plays with great support from its fans and turns into good plays from its athletes.

The Rockets will need to rely on the large number of points scored by the talented Jabari Smith Jr. if they want to surprise the Florida State team. The host should win again – that’s what the friendly games are showing us at this point. Our guess is for the Miami Heat to win.

NBA Preseason Week 3: Phoenix Suns vs. Denver Nuggets

When: Monday, October 10th at 07:00 pm ET

Moneyline odds:

Draw Offs:

Where Can I Watch it? NBA League Pass / NBC

Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets face off at Ball Arena, the scene of historic NBA clashes. Phoenix’s team has a head-to-head advantage against the Nuggets: in the last four games between them, the Suns have won 4 and lost one.

Despite being a friendly match, the Phoenix Suns coaching staff will not make things easy for the hosts. It could be the time to win again and show superiority against the rival, playing at their own home.

Jeff Green is the Nuggets’ big hope, just as Devin Booker is for the Suns. This will certainly be a balanced match, but we believe in the Suns’ victory.
