The title race for the Brasileirão finally ended, with El Verdao crowning itself as champions of the Serie A. However, as our cover-up of this amazing league showed before, Palmeiras practically sealed the title several weeks ago. What is still in play is an amazing relegation battle.
Avaí, at home, lost to Bragantino by 2-1 and is almost relegated to Série B of the Brasileirão, mainly because their main rivals won in the same round (Juventude 0 – 1 Coritiba; Botafogo 0 – 2 Cuiabá).
