The emotions of the 2023 Brasileirão season continue with an extraordinary fight at the top of the table, which, we are sure, will last until the end of the season.
We have several teams with real possibilities of fighting with Botafogo for the top of the table, and even more, considering that the team has just lost on matchday 30. As a result, Palmeiras came within 6 points of them after winning their third consecutive match, while Grêmio, Flamengo, and Bragantino are waiting for what may happen.
Atlético Mineiro also returned to winning ways on matchday 30, as did Cruzeiro, who wanted to move away from the relegation zone. On the other hand, it should be noted that America-MG is going from bad to worse, has lost 4 of the last 5 matches played, and is further away from salvation.

Palmeiras continues to show great play in the 2023 Brasileirão season after getting their third consecutive victory to get much closer to Botafogo at the top of the table. Although the match cost them a little, they got the 3 points after beating Bahia 1-0.

Another great match on matchday 30 of the Brasileirão between two teams that, although in different moments and opposite places in the table, left everything on the field to take the 3 points. However, Grêmio pulled out all the stops for an excellent 4-3 victory over America-MG.
The locals started this match by surprising everyone after Rodriguinho’s goal in the 3rd minute. However, the visitors woke up immediately and hit back thanks to goals by Reinaldo Manoel da Silva (’17) and Everton (’20) to turn the score around. Before the end of the first half, América-MG equalized 2-2 thanks to a great goal by Gonzalo Mastriani (’35).
At the start of the second half, América came out again with great determination, and in the 49th minute, Mastriani scored his brace to make the score 3-2. However, just when we all thought that the home team would take the 3 points, Uruguayan star Luis Suarez appeared to score 3-3 in the 71st minute. Notwithstanding, that was not all, as just 7 minutes later, Franco Cristaldo scored the definitive 4-3 to give Grêmio the victory.

Atlético Paranense and São Paulo gave us a match of great intensity, but only at the beginning of the match, as both goals were scored in the first 10 minutes of the game.

Finally, one of the big surprises of matchday 30 of the Brasileirão was Botafogo’s 1-0 defeat at home to Cuiaba.
Undoubtedly, all bookmakers had the leader as a clear favorite to win. However, the visitors were so shut out that, although the locals had up to 32 shots, 9 of which were on target, none of them were able to beat their goalkeeper, Walter.
As mentioned, Botafogo took control of the ball and the game during the first half, but they had many problems defining the goal. However, in the 52nd minute, Isidro Pitta scored the match’s only goal for Cuiaba to seal the 1-0 victory.
With this victory, Cuiaba has 40 points in tenth place in the table, while Botafogo remains the leader but is only 6 points ahead of Palmeiras.
