The Brasileirão reaches the last matchday of the season, and it seems like we are just going into it to settle the results at the top as a formality, as the top of the division seems sealed with no way to switch things around much anymore.
The top comes in tight, as Palmeiras has a 3-point lead over the 2nd-placed Atletico Mineiro and Flamengo, who are also followed by Grêmio, a point behind. Then sits the former leader, Botafogo, in 5th.
The results from the Palmeiras match will only tell us how big of a margin they’ll have when they get crowned. Even if they lose and the 2nd and 3rd placed teams get a victory, the goal differential they have is unlikely to be challenged by any other team, securing the crown early.
However, the teams around will be fighting to not get knocked off from the Libertadores group stage spots by Botafogo in this last matchday.
Bahia also can make their way out of the Relegation zone with a victory to make everything count in this last matchday.

At the moment, Cruzeiro has 46 points, and for such a competitive championship as the Brasileirão, it is too little. The 14th place in the table is the result that this team fully deserved with its game.
In the current championship, Palmeiras scored 20 victories, while allowing themselves to lose only 8. So, it is not surprising that this team is the leader of the table. Now, it is just a matter of how well they want to close out their season, as they can do pretty much whatever they want in this match and still be crowned.

Bahia heads into the final day of the season sitting a point from safety with a shock 3-2 defeat away to bottom-of-the-table and already relegated America Mineiro at the weekend seeing them blow a golden opportunity.
They now face an Atletico Mineiro side that can only win the title if they win, Palmeiras lost at Cruzeiro, and there is an eight-goal swing, too. Given that Luiz Felipe Scolari’s men are coming against such poor opposition, an Atletico hammering is at least highly likely for this one.
