We are looking at quite an entertaining matchup in the UEFA Champions League round of 16, as we get a tournament veteran on Real Madrid who managed to flawlessly get the first spot in group C facing off against RB Leipzig, who got second place in Group G.

The Merengues managed to get an undefeated run in the group stage, running over Napoli, Braga, and Union Berlin with ease, scoring 16 goals and conceding 7 in an offensive masterclass.

The Red Bulls landed the 2nd spot in Group G, taking wins on Young Boys and Crvena Zvezda, but being unable to take a single point from Manchester City.

Why Bet on RB Leipzig?

The Germans arrive in a somewhat questionable state, recently breaking a terrible streak of three losses in a row with a victory over Union Berlin. Those defeats were against Frankfurt, Leverkusen, and Stuttgart, so it’s clear that facing teams at the top of the table is not their thing, at least not recently.

The losses against the Aspirines and VfB were especially damaging. Against the first, they were up in the score two times and suffered a comeback every time. Against the latter, they were completely obliterated and suffered a Denis Undav hat-trick.

In the Champions League, their group phase was disappointing, as nobody expected them to get over Manchester City, but they should have taken at least one point. The worst thing is that, at the Etihad, they completely obliterated the Citizens in the first half, just to end up letting go of an advantage of two goals in the second.

Why Bet on Real Madrid?

Real Madrid, controversies aside, has achieved 3 points in all of their last six games. However, tomorrow they will face the most important duel for their title aspirations, as a match with the surprising Girona at noon ET awaits us. They already beat that rival with ease in the first leg, so they expect to repeat the feat.

In the Champions League, they have been a steam-roller, getting over all their rivals, and accumulating maximum points in the process. They are one of the only two teams who have achieved that in this edition, the other being Manchester City.

The anchor for their great form is Jude Bellingham, as the English midfielder scored four goals in the group phase and was key in some good comebacks.

Final Betting Analysis: RB Leipzig vs. Real Madrid

Leizing is not a bad team, as they made it into the round of 16th, but facing Real Madrid in the Champions League is another level which is difficult for the locals even in Germany. In addition, their defense has been poor, and they have not faired well against teams that present a challenge.

We expect Real Madrid to make the best out of this first leg and get a 1-3 in their favor.

Go for a victory for the visitors at 2.19. If you bet $199 at such odds, you could get $119, for a total payout of $219.
